Tomorrow is the Live Chat @ 7:00pm on this very website.
I like the first lineup really much and that is the lineup I would have
ReplyDeletegood job on that lineup
What about this lineup:
ReplyDeleteFukudome
Theriot
Lee
Bradley
Ramirez
Soriano
Soto
Fontenot
Pitcher
Also, Your last trade proposal, I know you already know this but Jay Jackson and Ryan Flaherty can't be traded til one year from the draft (cant remember when that is). But I like the trade without Vitters.
uww1, good eye. But yes I know they can't be traded till after June 8, 2009. I'm not expecting a trade till the trading deadline because the ownership wont have complete control (all but 5%) till about April or so, and the Padres won't have need until the deadline (the Pads are probably hoping that more suitors come around, or that Peavy expends his list of teams.) It's still possible for a April/May blockbuster, it's all about what the Cubs offer at that time.
ReplyDeletePhil, have you ever thought about you and couple of other people joining together to make one BIG webiste instead of 3-5 little ones??? I really think it would be a good idea. These chat rooms are all good and all, but if you have one day and another person has it another day, the thing is, all of the questions are the same!!! I really do think it would be a more organized website (like MLBTR). I find it stupid that i have to check 3-5 diferent Cubs' websites, where I could just check one BIG site. What do you think? What do others think?
ReplyDeleteYes, some of us are gonna be making "one BIG website" after the 09 season. Me and a buddy have already had some ideas generated.
ReplyDeleteProbably a couple months down the road, we'll get into the designing of the website. I'll have more details as it comes together!
Sweet Phil, I am excitied!!
ReplyDeleteST is coming!!!!!
I have two different line-ups (against RHP)
ReplyDelete1. Soriano
2. Fontenot
3. Ramirez
4. Bradley
5. Lee
6. Soto
7. Fukudome
8. Theriot
or
1. Theriot
2. Lee/Fontenot
3. Bradley
4. Ramirez
5. Soriano
6. Fontenot/Lee
7. Soto
8. Fukudome
how do we post links on blogs
ReplyDeleteBradley doesn`t have the legs to be in the two hole, he had knee surgery a year ago. Here`s a typical lineup.
ReplyDelete1.Theriot/Fukudome/Gathright/Soriano
2.Fukudome/Theriot
3.Lee/Soriano/Bradley
4.Ramirez/Bradley/Soto
5.Ramirez/Bradley/Soto
6.Fontenot/Soto/Johnson/Bradley
7.Fontenot/Soto/Johnson
8.Johnson/Fontenot/Theriot/Fukudome
I think Fukudome is going to have a MVP type of year, hes going to be a 30/30 hitter with a .400 OBP, and win a batting title with an above .340 average. Laugh, we will see what you say at the All-Star break when hes a triple crown threat.
My thinking on having Bradley in that Number 2 spot is that he is well respected by pitchers, so when Soriano/Fuku/Theriot/Gathright is on first they'll have a better chance of stealing. But i know his knees are shot.
ReplyDeleteFukudome will not be a triple crown threat! He'd have to bat either 3rd,4th, or 5th which I don't see happening, because he wont get the RBI's, He wont come close to Dunn's, Manny's, Howard, or any of the big HR hitters total.
He might have a chance at the MVP if he hits 25-30HR, 100RBIs, and Bats over .335 (Pujols will hit .332.) Which is unlikely. I think Fuku will have a great year.
