- Cubs Pitcher Rich Harden said "I'm coming of the best offseason ever." And he hopes to make 30 starts this year.
- Marmol is expected to be the Dominican Republic team's closer. He's not worried about being overused. "The innings I don't pitch in Spring Training are innings I will pitch there," Marmol said.

- Paul Bako and Koyie Hill will compete for the backup catcher's job. Cubs staff liked throwing to Hill last year better than they did Henry Blanco. The Cubs can release Paul Bako by the end of March and only pay 20% of 750,000.
- Sean Marshall is the favorite to win the 5th spot competition-Indicated by Lou.
- MILTON BRADLEY has arrived in Mesa and is already taking batting practice. Position players don't have to report till Tuesday.
- The only pitcher missing is Luis Vizcaino, who is having visa problems.
- Mike Stanton could be the other lefty in the pen along with Neil Cotts.
- Reed Johnson lost 14 pounds on his new diet.

What do you think about Stanton in the bullpen? Vizcaino is already having problems and he hasn't even reported yet! I like the fact that Bradley arrived early!
ReplyDeleteIt is good Bradley reported early to know the staff, I think Stanton is to old but has to be better than cotts, any one is better than him. It is still early Vixicaino will be there in a couple days.
