  1. what's with the Orioles taking our "future superstar" centerfielders? Does Corey Patterson ring a bell? Well Phil, if the Cardinals can go to the super bowl then the Cubs can go to the world series!!!!! Now let's get Jake and get it done! I hope getting another lefty for the bullpen doesn't mean Marshall is a lock for our open starting position.

  3. We do have 4 new pitching prospects in the organization, so maybe(fingers crossed!!!)Hope a change in scenery helps Olson, from looking at his stats he stinks. I see Andy Mcphail works for the Orioles, that would explain his interest in our prospects.

  4. There were some points during the last 2 weeks, where i was starting to feel that Jake Peavy wasnt coming to the Cubs, but now i can definitely see it happening.

The Cubs are now in a position of strength where they don't have to trade away Vitters, don't get me wrong they could and the probably will, because the Padres need to remove salary.

  5. With Cubs chairman Crane Kenney saying the Cubs sale will be done by opening day I would guess knowing Jim Hendrey's aggressive nature of going after what he wants, he's probably blowing the phones up to the new owners...I agree with Phil and believe Peavy will be ours! Everything the padres wanted is in place. They can have their payroll reduction and we can go and win the world series!!! I think the 4 new pithching prospects, Cedeno and probably Vitters gets it done! Heck the Padres even got rid of Hoffman so who's gonna save the games if they ever have a lead in the ninth.

  8. Since I found this site, it has saved me the time from going to espn, cubs.com, and the score. Phil gets the scope much faster than the others! I think he's really Jim Hendry in disguise. LOL!!!
